Antecedentes de la Persistencia y Empleabilidad Estudiantil

Un Estudio Comparativo entre Estudiantes de Instituciones de Educación Superior Brasileñas y Portuguesas

Resumen

Este estudio investigó la persistencia estudiantil y su relación con la empleabilidad en instituciones de educación superior de Brasil y Portugal. Se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo con cuestionario, aplicando escalas tipo Likert de 7 puntos para medir empleabilidad, persistencia, cocreación, compromiso académico y motivación. La muestra incluyó 584 estudiantes (290 brasileños y 294 portugueses), con análisis multigrupo para probar diferencias y similitudes entre los dos países. Los datos se analizaron mediante modelado de ecuaciones estructurales para evaluar el impacto de los antecedentes de la persistencia en la empleabilidad. Los resultados indican que el compromiso y la motivación son factores esenciales para la permanencia de los estudiantes, con variaciones entre Brasil y Portugal. La cocreación también fue relevante, promoviendo mayor implicación y éxito académico. La persistencia estudiantil mostró un impacto significativo en la empleabilidad, destacando la importancia de la reputación de las IES y de las percepciones de los alumnos sobre sus competencias en el mercado laboral.

Milena Reis Auip Barbosa Auip Barbosa, Universidade de Fortaleza, Brasil


PhD in Business Administration from the University of Fortaleza (Unifor), Master's degree in Tourism Business Management from the State University of Ceará (UECE), MBA in Marketing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas/MRH, and from the State University of Tourism, from the State University of Ceará in Fortaleza (UNIFOR). Professor of Undergraduate and Graduate courses in the areas of Marketing, Events and Hospitality. From 2012, she started in the area of academic management, where she currently holds the position of coordinator of the Tec. of Marketing, Tec. EAD Digital Marketing and Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. He has experience in the areas of Marketing, Education, Tourism and Events. He has experience in the areas of Marketing, Academic Management and Tourism, with an emphasis on Promotion, working mainly on the following research topics: events, education, tourism, marketing and sustainability.

Arnaldo Fernandes Matos Coelho Arnaldo Fernandes Matos Coelho , Faculdade de Economia, Universidade de Coimbra

PhD in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona. He is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, and coordinates different courses in the Business Management area. He is a Researcher at CEBER - Center for Business and Economics Research - in the Marketing field, with emphasis on Relationship Marketing and Branding, Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Resources Management and has publications in several international indexed journals such as the Journal of Business Research, the European Journal of Marketing, the International Journal of Human Resources Management, among others. He acts, as well, as a business consultant in the fields of marketing and strategy.
