Uma Ampliação da Aplicação, na Prática Psicanalítica, da Noção de Continente em Bion

Resumo

Inicialmente, o artigo faz uma breve recapitulação da concepção de Bion acerca da importantíssima função de ‘continente’ tanto da mãe, como a do psicanalista, eestabelece algumas diferenças entre as noções de continente, de rêverie e de holding. O autor se propõe a ampliar o conceito de continente, de Bion, introduzindo algumas idéias próprias que possam representar utilidade na prática psicanalítica cotidiana. O artigo dá um especial destaque à noção de subcontinentes, entre outras proposições, como auto-continência, função delimitadora, função custódia, função de sobrevivência, função de reconhecimento, diferença entre continente e recipiente.

Summary

An Amplification of the Application, in thePsychoanalytical Practice, of Bion’s Notionof Continent

In the beginning, the article provides a short recapitulation of Bion’s conception of the very important function of ‘continent’, as much of the mother, as of the psychoanalyst, and establishes some differences between the notions of continent, reverie, and holding. The author intends to amplify the concept of continent authored by Bion, introducing some of his own ideas that may useful in the current psychoanalytic practice. The article gives particular emphasis to the notion of sub-continents, among other propositions, such as autocontaining, function of delimitation, function of guardian, function of survival, function of recognition, difference between continent and recipient.
