Acerca do Infinito e do Finito, ou da Expansão da Mente
Resumo
A partir da dinâmica mental gerada pelo contacto entre os conceitos de finito, infinito e mente, o autor pensa o big bang e o big crunch. Deste processo, emerge o pensamento da mente em expansão e a interrogação da possibilidade da sua infinitude. O artigo analisa contributos e obstáculos a esse caminhar da mente sem fim. Em pós-escrito, o autor relaciona, criticamente, este artigo com um artigo famoso de Jacob Arlow, salientando pontos convergentes e divergentes entre ambos.
About the Infinite and the Finite, or the Expansion of Mind
From the mental dynamic created by the link between the concepts of finite, infinite and mind, the author thinks the big bang and the big crunch. From this process emerges the reflection on the expansion of the mind and the question of the possibility of its infinitude. The article analyses some theoretical obstacles and contributions for that endless path of the mind. In a Post-script, the author crosses this article with another one by Jacob Arlow, pointing out the common and the divergent aspects between them.
