Satisfação Profissional dos Docentes: Uma Abordagem sobre Instrumentos de Medida

O objectivo deste artigo é descrever os instrumentos de medida utilizados na avaliação da satisfação profissional dos docentes. A pesquisa é baseada em estudos desenvolvidos, nesta área, em dois estabelecimentos de ensino superior público e privado de Coimbra (Universidade de Coimbra e Instituto Superior Miguel, respectivamente). Os estudos em causa avaliam a satisfação profissional com recurso a instrumentos de medida padronizados ou não (abordagem quantitativa) e amostras de professores, com relevância, no primeiro caso, para o Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire.
Teacher Professional Satisfaction: An Approach to Measurement Tools
The purpose of this article is to describe the measuring instruments used in the evaluation of teacher professional satisfaction. The research is based on studies on this theme developed in public and private higher education institutions of Coimbra (University of Coimbra and Instituto Superior Miguel Torga, respectively). The studies under consideration evaluate professional satisfaction using patterned measuring instruments or not (quantitative approach) and samples of teachers, especially, in the first case, the Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire.
