Abstract

Thaumazein: Psychoanalysis, Art and the Locus of the Aesthetic Encounter

The nexus between psychoanalysis and art is a significant tool to explore the aesthetic impact of the work of art as both a creative and a transformative process. This analysis integrates several theory perspectives about the continuum between creativity and aesthetic experience, relating the artist, the work of art and the beholder.
