Psicanálise, Neurociências e Investigação Quantitativa

Abstract

Este artigo aborda as relações entre psicanálise e neurociências, de um ponto de vista histórico, desde Freud até à atualidade, chamando a atenção para a convergência no campo da memória; sexualidade e género; hemisfério direito; sonhos; empatia e intersubjectividade; e depressão. Por outro lado, a relação entre psicanálise e investigação quantitativa é colocada em perspetiva com a investigação mais recente sobre psicoterapia psicodinâmica baseada na evidência. Em conclusão, é enfatizado que as relações entre psicanálise, neurociências e investigação quantitativa precisam de maior consolidação, com o desenvolvimento de estudos que aprofundem a interatividade teórica e prática entre estes campos de conhecimento.

 

Psychoanalysis, Neurosciences and Quantitative Research

This article approaches the relations between psychoanalysis and neurosciences from a historic point of view, from Freud to the present, drawing attention to the convergence in the fields of memory; sexuality and gender; the right hemisphere; dreams; empathy and intersubjectivity; and depression. On the other hand, the relation between psychoanalysis and quantitative research is put in perspective with the latest research on psychodynamic psychotherapy based on evidence. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the relations between psychoanalysis, neurosciences and quantitative research need further consolidation, with the development of studies aiming at deepening the theoretical and practical interactivity between these areas of knowledge.
