Experiência e Linguagem na Modernidade
Abstract
Experience and Language in Modernity
The relationship between experience and language is a constitutive and distinctive dimension of the experience of modernity. This article observes that question from the point of view of the crisis of universalism and subjectivity that characterizes the transition from Enlightenment and Kantian models to structuralism and (post-)structuralism criticism. Gadamer’s philosophy and hermeneutics are approached as a perspective that, simultaneously, crosses that bifurcation, but searches to go beyond the critique of the limits of the subject and the limits of the universal that dominates the explanation and conceptualization of language in the modern experience.
