A Construção Social do Conceito de Identidade Profissional

Abstract

O conceito de identidade social combina as trajectórias pessoais e biográficas do indivíduo com a interacção do indivíduo com os seus contextos sociais e profissionais significativos. Desta forma, a direcção teórica presente, acerca da construção e interpretação da identidade profissional, assenta numa dupla matriz: a importância das socializações secundárias no processo de construção da identidade social e, por outro lado, o reconhecimento da identidade pessoal e profissional como um processo subjectivo e socialmente inacabado.

The Social Construction of the Concept of Professional Identity

The concept of social construction combines the personal and biographical trajectories of the individual with his or her interaction with significant social and professional contexts. In this way, the present theoretical direction on the construction and interpretation of professional identity is based on a double matrix: the importance of secondary socializations in the construction process of social identity and, on the other hand, the recognition of personal identity as a subjective and socially unfinished process.
