Um Itinerário de Leitura do Livro de Pedro Luzes, 'Do Pensamento à Emoção'

Resumo

Este artigo é um guia de leitura do livro 'Do Pensamento à Emoção', do psicanalista português Pedro Luzes, acompanhando a sequência dos seis capítulos da obra. A tese organizante do livro, segundo a qual as emoções asseguram o estabelecimento das relações interpessoais, é apoiada na psicanálise e no contributo de outros modelos da psicologia e da psicopatologia. Neste sentido, são estudadas as representações mentais, com os seus aspectos evolutivos, os processos do pensamento e as articulações entre o cognitivo e o emocional e entre a linguagem e o pensamento. O livro aborda, por outro lado, a procura de significado e as perturbações do pensamento, nos seus aspectos descritivo e dinâmico. Finalmente, é feito um estudo aprofundado das emoções e suas relações com o conjunto do funcionamento psíquico, nomeadamente, a cognição e a motivação. 

A Reading Itinerary of Pedro Luzes’ Book, From Thought to Emotion

This article is a reading guide to the book 'From Thought to Emotion', by the Portuguese psychoanalyst Pedro Luzes, following the sequence of the work’s six chapters. The organizing thesis of the book, according to which the emotions ensure the establishment of inter-personal relationships, is supported in psychoanalysis and in the contribution of other psychology and psychopathology models. In that sense, the mental representations are studied, along with their evolutive aspects, the processes of thought, and the articulations between the cognitive and the emotional, and between language and thought. The book approaches, on the other hand, the search for meaning and the thought disorders, in their descriptive and dynamic aspects. Finally, a more deepened study of the emotions is done, emphasizing their relations with the set of the psychic activity, namely, cognition and motivation.
